The 27th year of Theatre BC Festival of Plays is sure to be a great one! May is the month when community drama groups come together to meet in friendly competition and choose a winning play to go forward from their zone to the provincial drama festival, being held this year in Kamloops June 30 to July 7. The Theatre BC North Shore Zone Festival of Plays will be held during the week of May 7 to 12,2001, at Presentation House Theatre (333 Chesterfield Avenue, North Vancouver) and will present plays ranging from an English comedy {Round and Round the Garden), Canadian comedic writer Norm Foster (Ned Durango Comes to Big Oak), Irish playwright American Brendan Behan {The Hostage), Michael Cristofer (The Shadow Box), and Canadian children's scripts playwright Colin Thomas (One Thousand and Round Cranes). The playis Weekly passes are available and passholders will be able to have a voice in the Final Night deliberations, as they are entitled to vote on the People's Choice Awards.
