portrait | by I l o n a Beiks A Star on the Rise The North Shore's Peter Jorgensen is a 21stcentury sort of guy whose success story reads like a plot from a vintage movie musical, "Young Canadian theatrical hopeful goes to the Big Apple to study singing and dancing - and his feet have never touched the ground since." Joregensen received his first Vancouver theatre exposure in Uncle Randy productions of Jesus Christ for the upcoming Arts Club Theatre provincial tour of the show, Forever Plaid which kicks off at Capilano Performing Arts Centre January 9 and 10. Jorgensen believes that Forever Plaid sets itself apart from other revues by being not only packed with songs such as Catch A Falling Star, Three Coins In A Fountain, and Sixteen Tons but by also having an intriguing story line and particularly endearing characters. "It's amazing to sing the four-part harmonies of all these songs, and it's a lot of fun, t o o " he explains.
