November ßy Marilyn Henderson Holiday Happenings Capilano College's new Performing Arts Theatre Twelfth Night The Capilano College Performing Arts Theatre presents Twelfth Night. Shakespeare's beloved romantic comedy. This version of the bard's classic play is directed by David Bloom from Grinning Dragon Theatre Company and features performances by Capilano College's advanced certificate theatre students. Jazz, Colin Righton Righton Studios North Vancouver artist Colin Righton holds his only solo show of the year at Sinclair Centre from November 3-8. Righton designed the poster and T-shirt logo used in West Vancouver's Harmony Arts Festival. He has also designed an image for the Arthritis Society and is looking forward to an upcoming project designing images for stained glass. Witness (Skxwumish7ulh) Witness is an unique event that partners the Squamish nation with the Roundhouse Community Centre. The event begins with an Artist's Retreat from November 1-2 at Sims Creek where artists are invited to participate in a Squamish Witnessing Ceremony. This experience wil be followed by an Art Exhibition that runs from December 18-January 18. The exhibition takes place at the Roundhouse Community centre and features live performances, panel discussions, a children's program, and opening and closing ceremonies. Zilede Sokak, by Asuman Dogan Homeland The Ferry Building Gallery (1414 Argyle Avenue) presents Homeland, a collection of work that focuses on images of "home." Asuman and Atanur Dogan. Benny Fung, Rita Monaco. Joaquim Varandas. and David Yeung use their creative talents to explore their memories of their own homelands. The show takes place from November 18-December 17.
