The Centennial Theatre offers more than a dozen programs. Arts O n Stage is for people with a passion for the performing arts and will culminate with a performance for friends and family. Have you ever wanted to try singing, dancing, o r acting? Well, then the Musical Theatre Camp is for you. Beginner and Intermediate classes are offered for children 7 to 10 years old and youths I I to 16 years old. Also for the 6- to 10-year-old group is Singing Just For Fun and Introduction To Piano. For those 13 years and up interested in what happens backstage, try Stagecraft and start on the road to becoming a "techie." Want to learn some real theatre magic? Find out how to transform a kid into a granny and vice versa with Make-up For Theatre, offered for youths I 3 to 18 years old. Want to be an actor, but you're afraid of that scary audition? Try First Time Auditions for youths and adults. And for those with a funny bone--Just For Laughs: Comedy & Improv promises to be just the thing to keep you and your friends laughing all summer. And just in case your dreams go beyond the stage to the silver screen, the Centennial Theatre offers an exciting Breaking Into Television A n d Film course. Adults won't be left out--there's t w o adult choir classes offered: Singing Just For Fun and Keep O n Singing. The Delbrook and Lonsdale recCentres are also offering summer arts program for children and youth. For example, the Lonsdale recCentre offers both Arts Career classes, which offer young people a chance to explore visual art career possibilities while building a portfolio of work, and A r t Camps for children, which explore a combination of visual and theatrical arts.
