Perry has created over 50 portraits and six largescale nudes. His works garnered him the Jurors' Award in the Northwest International Art Competition as well as captured attention in the United States, Toronto, and Vancouver. The latest of his figurative paintings, collectively presented under the title Nude Realism, is part of a two-man show at the Seymour Art Gallery. Perry came to the attention of the gallery's curator, Carole Badgley. about a year and a half ago at a group exhibition. Not only did Perry's study and adaptation of human anatomy impress Badgley, but she finds his work meticulous and very unusual. "He looks at the structure of the bones. It's still all architectural and he is very good with balancing lines and the use of space."
