The Hills are Alive, With the Sound of .. Shakespeare! The tradition of Bard on the Beach being set within a beautiful Vancouver backdrop continues this summer -- on the North Shore. Bard on the Beach, now in its sixth season, is presenting Bard's "Peak Performance" atop Grouse Mountain on July 15 and the $10 ticket price (if purchased in advance) for the production o f Comedy of Errors includes the gondola ride. Christopher Gaze, Artistic Director for Bard on the Beach, said, "We have been wanting to play on the North Shore for years, but moving the tent mid-season was not viable or possible. When the potential for a Grouse Mountain performance was presented, it seemed like a perfect solution to the venue challenge and has provided us with an ideal opportunity to make Shakespeare affordable and accessible to North Shore residents." Throughout the summer Bard on Christopher Gaze, Artistic Director and founder of Bard on the Beach, sings out his soliloquy to an appreciative audience on the Grouse Mountain gondola.
