Their stories are important ones and create a voice for the arts by being "out there" in the magazine. Arts Alive needs to continue to receive good writing to maintain its important place in community publications and to keep the real stories in the public eye. The editorial for the next issue June, July & August) (which is May deadline will I, cover 1995. And while tributes are appropriately being made to Brenda Berck, I would like to recognize the editor of this magazine's precursor, Arts Access, Ann Macklem. She did a superb job on the magazine and left me the most organized set of file folders I have ever seen -- very intimidating. Ann also did a great job of working with people in the community and getting them to tell their stories in their own voice. I will keep her open door policy in action and look forward Loree to hearing from you. --Gloria Five Things You've Already Missed The Chance to Do: 1.
