Duncan C u m m i n g , owner of both outlets, says, "We made a doorway between the two stores to provide easy access and put a sign in the window inviting art and antiques on consignment." "The response has been positive as people seem to welcome the idea of exchanging their art for something new. Tastes change or people just want variety." C u m m i n g says he is busy looking at the work of local artists. "The idea is to have different kinds of art and regular changes of work on display. We would like to give exposure to as many artists a possible, but because of limited space we have to select work that is ready for sale'.' Artlovers's main gallery is decorated as a living room to display art and antiques, the middle room is ideal for photographs and the rear room is devoted to bargain items. We need your response to the Arts Council's preliminary vision for a new North Vancouver arts centre.
