Its t w o m a i n o c c u p a n t s w e r e the S h a w Theatre a n d the S e y m o u r A r t G a l l e r y . C a r o l e B a d g l e y c a m e o n as t h e first a d m i n i s t r a t o r i n A p r i l l 9 9 3 . B y J u n e she w a s g a l l e r y c u r a t o r . B a d g l e y launched fundraising campaigns a n d , through her considerable contacts i n the arts w o r l d , brought e s t a b l i s h e d a n d e m e r g i n g a r t i s t s i n t o the n e w g a l l e r y . She a l s o i n t r o d u c e d t h e p o p u l a r d i s C O V E r y e x h i b i t s held every J a n u a r y . W h e n B a d g l e y left the g a l l e r y i n 2 0 0 3 , J a c q u i e M o r g a n , a talented N o r t h V a n c o u v e r artist w i t h a b a c k g r o u n d i n dance, theatre, f i l m , fine arts a n d c o m m e r c i a l a r t , t o o k the helm. H e r a d m i n i s t r a t i o n experience i n c l u d e d w o r k w i t h the N o r t h V a n c o u v e r A r t s C o u n c i l , the F e r r y B u i l d i n g G a l l e r y and the A r t i s t s for K i d s T r u s t . B u i l d i n g o n Badgley's s o l i d f o u n d a t i o n , M o r g a n d r a m a t i c a l l y increased the n u m b e r o f v i s i t o r s to the gallery. O n average, 3 5 , 0 0 0 people visit every year. She r e n o v a t e d the T r e a s u r e Cove Gift S h o p a t t r a c t i n g m o r e v e n d o r s a n d buyers. M o r g a n initiated the S e y m o u r A r t s F e s t i v a l i n 2 0 0 5 , h e l d every o t h e r year i n J u n e .
