LIBRARIES The first ever Writer-in-Residence, Tim Wynne-Jones, will be at the North Vancou ver District Library from May 7-11. This program gives writers an opportunity to spend four to six days in a community during which time the writer will be avail able for formal or informal discussions Tim Wynne-Jones will present two public readings at District Libraries during the week: at the Lynn Valley Branch on Wed nesday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m. for children and those interested in children's writing and at the Capilano Branch on Thursday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. for adults. NORTH SHORE MUSEUM & ARCHIVES The museum invites the public to enjoy their latest display, Painting With Light: Local Art & Stained Glass, 1890-1930. The show features original glass works from the North Shore, Vancouver and New Westminster as well as numerous text and photographic panels. The audience can follow how a window is made, view original tools, read about the local artisans of the day and enjoy the beauty of the art and stained glass windows that are so much a part of this city's heritage.
