Painting of the Point Atkinson Lighthouse Begins After years of negotiations and pressure from the West Vancouver Historical Society and the Municipality, the Point Atkinson Lighthouse has just received a brand spanking new coat of paint. The Society under the leadership of Board member Elaine Graham and, overtime, several West Vancouver Historical Society boards, along with the Municipality of West Vancouver, the Federal Department of Fisheries and a grant from the Heritage BC Legacy Fund has raised the funds necessary to pay for this long overdue sprucing up of this symbol of our municipality.
