Due to a dearth of members willing to take on major roles I wanted to pull back, temporarily at least, from some events while maintaining and improving on others. One result of this was our temporarily pulling out of the Mall shows. This enabled us to concentrate on the AFAS in November of 2007 which generated a lot of sales and goodwill in the Indian River/Deep Cove community. While it necessitated many volunteers working for months ahead of the actual exhibition, the show itself required staffing only one evening and one full day. Our guild has seen many changes over a relatively short period of time and has doubled its membership in the last five years. My hope for next year is to work towards creating an atmosphere where members feel comfortable, stimulated and more connected to each other. Hopefully newer members will get to know each other as well as some of the more well-established members who, in turn, will have opportunities to reconnect with each other. Next Meeting: Wednesday, September 10th. 7-9:3Opm. West Vancouver Seniors Activity Centre West Vancouver, BC Please visit www.nsartists.co for a full listing of the new Board Members! In order to close the gap between board members and the rest of the membership I would like to see more opportunities for members to voice their concerns and suggest changes. I would like to thank this years Board Members for their support during this past year. My learning curve has been huge and they have been extremely patient with me! Respectfully submitted, Jacqule Manning Vice President/President
