Rene Gourley asked that a motion be passed that a standing rule be put in place so that any future fee changes be advertised a minimum of a month prior to any motion being passed in the future. This motion was passed. Seconded? Edith Warner asked the motion be amended to include any resolution. She feels that decisions that need to be brought to the membership for a vote should have a one month notice via newsletter. Amended motion any matter requiring vote by membership will be given notice via previous meeting and/or newletter prior to a vote taking place. Motion carried. iii. Larry explained to the membership how our finances have been managed in that past and that we have been managing on a break even basis. The reason we feel we need to increase rates is so that we don't go into a deficit. A member expressed concern that one of our own member (Alanna Haynes) is doing the final books and she feels this should be done by someone outside of the club. f. Clarification of roster printing Larry clarified that the old booklet will no longer be printed. However, any member who does not have access to the website who would like a roster can ask to have one printed by anyone on the executive. ii. Newsletter deadline Introduction of Liina MacPherson, our new newsletter editor. Larry introduced Liina to the membership. Deadline for the newsletter is on Friday this week. Liina needs an assistant to help stuff envelopes for the newsletters that get mailed out. Please see Liina at the break. i. Membership: Wanda Doyle i.
