Helen Ott moved and Morag Biagi seconded. Executive Reports: Corresponding Secretary Nell Turner · Nell has taken everything to the archives that needed to go there. Exhibitions Heather Luccock · May 3rd is scheduled to be the jurying date, here in the church basement. Four paintings per person and they can be sent in digitally, or photographed here at the church on May 3rd· · Ongoing Venues paintings are up at Park Royal community room. They will be up until some time in June. This venue will be assessed in June to see if it is worthwhile to continue there. Shelley James would be the best person to ask about this venue. Heather will have a meeting with those involved in Ongoing Venues to see where we stand. · Harmony Arts Kathie Roddie will be the captain of the HAF. Heather will meet with Kathie soon to discuss this venue. - Workshops Frieda Ashworth and Jeri Canderan · Workshop Registration Procedure Frieda discussed the feasibility of the new method of signing up for workshops. Some problems exist in that some members forget they have registered, or they forget to pay. Tony O'Regan workshop still has seven spots available. From now on, you can still register in advance, but payment must accompany the registration. Until payment is received, you are not registered for the workshop! There will be no speculation lists. If you are unable to make it to the workshop, you must find a replacement. · A member suggested that the workshop parameters need to be clear right from the beginning in order for members to commit early on. · The new regulations will be outlined in the upcoming newsletter. Only 6 people have paid for Kiff Holland. Frieda encouraged members to come and pay during the break. · Credit card payment for workshops a future possibility · On April 19 and 20, Lori Sokoluk will do a workshop for watercolours. Please see len if you are interested in doing a watercolour workshop. - Financial: Victor Smith · Victor explained that he has transferred some of our money into a GIC with a good interest rate. Our current account continues to be in a very healthy position. Victor would like to meet with Lori Tjorarn and Jane St. John if they are available tonight. Education: June Harman · June announced an interesting show at the Bellevue Gallery in West Vancouver. She encouraged members to check it out as she says it is a great show. · June also showed members Robert Germ's new book, Love Letters to Art. It is available for $50 instead of $65 at the Federation Gallery. · June also mentioned the landscape show at the Federation Gallery and encouraged members to see this show. · Demo Artist Teresa Bernard will do a watercolour demonstration tonight. Publicity: Florence Allardice · Florence thanked Karole Doucette for taking over for her in her absence. · Florence mentioned the First Friday shows at KIee Wyck, the first one being March 7th with July Watson. Florence has written an article for the media which has been acknowledged by the NS News. They will take photographs of the artists participating in these shows. · Florence encouraged members to take a look at the Squamish art show in March, Wild at Art.
