The jobs are all well-outlined. 22 chairs were purchased Amica Quilt Show The Seymour Quilter's Guild are renting our panels for this show and they have invited us to attend at 659 Clyde Ave. on Thursday, Feb 21St in the afternoon. - Membership: Wanda Doyle. · Wanda reminded members to sign in so that they can qualify for shows. · Kathie Roddie introduced S new members and 3 guests. Kathie encouraged members and new members alike to introduce themselves so that everyone can feel at home. · Kathie mentioned that Wild at Art is selling raffle tickets for a limited edition Robert Bateman. Wanda has tickets that can be purchased during the break. · Kathie mentioned Alfonso's courses in Italy and Mexico. Information is at the back table. · Elizabeth Gallant would like to photograph everyone in the club. She wifi post a letter on the website asking members to email her a head and shoulders picture. She would like to create a binder of all the members so that members can know each other better. Elizabeth will photograph members who cannot send photos to her via email. artgallant@shaw.ca. Past President: Larry Achtemichuk · First Fridays is available to any member. March, April, May, June and October are already taken, but there are still some Fridays available. These are informal and personal shows that are organized and publicized by the members. Larry will send out an email to our contact list letting them know about the series. New Business Video Equipment Proposal · Larry described our video technology to the members and explained its limitations. He did a lot of research and has sourced a proper video camera, a good projector, and a new screen. Larry motioned that we spend up to $3000 plus taxes for a projector, camera and screen. Jim Elton seconded this. Carried. This equipment can be returned if it is not suitable. Roster Proposal · That we do not have the annual roster professionally printed. Larry described the history of the roster and the roster cover contest. He proposed that we eliminate the roster and print out member information for those who need it. This will save money by not formally printing the full roster. Larry asked for member opinions. Larry motioned that we eliminate the roster. Jim Elton seconded. Carried. Other Business · Wanda reminded members that newsletter submissions are due this Friday to Nancy Dean. · Norm Vipond brought attention to 2 workshops being offered, one on gilding and one on Icons.
