Wanda welcomed all new members and guests. Joan Orr, Elizabeth Child, Deborah Kennedy, Murray White were introduced as new members. There was one guest present. Wanda asked members to help with the meeting setup as there are not sufficient volunteers for this job yet. There is also need for a HAP captain and an assistant to the captain. Wanda is resigning from her post and needs someone to take over as membership director. A new membership director is needed to step forward and volunteer for this position. · Workshops: Registration and guest artist update for first workshop. Jeri summarized the upcoming workshops. Supply lists are available at the back for the September and October workshops. She explained that if payment is not made by the deadline, those on the waitlist will be called to take that spot. If a member wishes to withdraw from a workshop, it is their responsibility to contact the next person on the wait list to fill the spot. More information regarding the workshops will be in the newsletter. · Exhibitions: No jurying in 2007; one in early 2008 · Harmony Arts Recap Heather recapped the HAP. 39 paintings were sold. It was a very successful event. The situation regarding replacement paintings will be addressed and revamped for the 2008 HAP. Heather asked the members to come forward with the $4 hanging fee if it was not paid at the HAP when replacement paintings were dropped off. The next jurying will be in the spring. Friday is the deadline for submissions for the newsletter. · New Business: Jacquie announced the People's Choice award which was won by Norma Blann for her painting Spring Showoff. · Annual Fine Art Sale: This show Project Manager Larry Achtemichuk First Annual Fine Arts Sale November 10, 2007. details as to needs to break even over several years, therefore great attention has been given to can be expenses, setup, format, etc, so the event can take place easily every year and expenses can this event coverage so that tracked.
