Read thru the Fine Art Sale Committee list to be sure your name is shown volunteering in the correct category(s). We wifi still be accepting volunteers after the printing! Members please wear name badges at each meeting. Return the badges to the box by the door before leaving the meeting. Volunteer Jobs There are many jobs needing your time and energy. Please read through this long list and make a note of which jobs you will handle. Email Wanda Doyle at the above email address or call her at 604 896-0159 ASAP so that we may get an up-to-date list into the new Roster. Rosters will be printed on Friday Sept 28 and available for pickup at the October meeting. 1. Meeting Room Set Up Front room mike, projector, camera and demo table set-up. We have a couple of people doing this but need one or two more to share the work and provide backup. 2. Harmony Arts Festival Captain for 2008 There will be other team members to work with such as Marguerite Mahy, Hanging Captain. Similar to other shows we hold except to liaise with the Festival and have spares organized to replace sold items. An assistant has already been found to work with the Captain. 3. Membership Director Enrol and welcome new members. Work with an existing committee who sign up new members, register attendance and collect monies. Participate in monthly Board Meetings. Have basic computer skills to use several work saving functions on the website, like printing of the Roster. Encourage members to serve as volunteers and assist in locating volunteers for Guild needs. Position vacant at end of September. - Annual Fine Art Sale November 10th VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Please make a list of where you (and your spouse or friend) will be helping. We need lots of people in each category. NOTE: It is assumed that the regular Equipment Committee/Strong Helpers Committee members will be available for jobs 4 to 8 unless you inform Wanda that you will NOT be available. - 1. Check in paintings at 7 pm on the Friday night before the show at Parkgate Community Centre. 2. Accept registrations via email, prior to the show (until Oct 27). Enter into computer with supervision from Edith Warner 3. Accept registrations via phone from members not using e-mail, prior to the show (until October 27). Make list for Edith. 4. Load equipment from Klee Wyck and NV School Board into a truck Friday night (Nov. 9) before the show 5. Set up equipment the morning of the show, starting at 7 am, working to a predefined floor plan. 6. Take down equipment at the end of the show, loading truck between 5 and 6 pm. 7. Meet at Klee Wyck to empty equipment and put back into storage at 7 pm Sunday immediately after show. 8. Meet at School Board to return panels to storage. Heather Luccock to confirm time and date.
