(!ór)er Wv WVWkibj large one-day only event, tightly organized choreography is necessary to ensure all aspects of the show run smoothly. We have planned for a band to provide music and create ambiance to the venue. We also plan on having a raffle of donated paintings to help defray some of the initial set-up costs for a show of this magnitude. The seniors from Parkgate will be selling refreshments during the day from their senior& lounge. We will not be having a Fall Park Royal show this year and instead are asking that particular volunteer team to form the core of this project team. We hope you will sign up with your support as well, since we need to supplement this team with additional volunteers. Please see the attached list and e-mail the relevant Team Captain or Wanda Doyle wandad@telus.net to declare your interest in a position. Spouses are also welcome to volunteer. Please direct your comments, suggestions and inquiries to the Team Captain as we are still formulating plans. Some of the positions require work to start up in September while others can wait until October and November. Also, please read this newsletter carefully for more information on entry criteria, etc. We encourage you to start telling your previous buyers as well as family members and friends about the show. More information about invitations will follow at a later date. If you are not familiar with this rapidly growing region of North Vancouver where the show will be taking place, take a drive out to Deep Cove and check it out. The facility, which is directly across from the Parkgate Public Library, is beautiful! What a successful Exhibition we had at the Harmony Arts Festival. Thirty-nine paintings were sold! Many thanks to all the people who volunteered their time in support this event. We were actually the victims of our success in that the means of dealing with replacement paintings became problematic and inefficient. We have learned from that and will have a new system in place next year. It seems that the Harmony Arts Festival is getting bigger every year and we look forward to our continued participation.
