Here Ye, Here Ye,J ) Members of the North Shore Artists' Guildis cwu : /Z GRA ND A NNOUNCEMENT North Shore Artists' Guild Annual Fine Art Show and Sale Saturday, November 10th, 2007 7amtol0 am-Setup 10 am to 5 pm Show Open to the Public 5 pm to 6 pm Takedown - Parkgate Community Centre Gymnasium 3625 Banff Court Left off Mount Seymour Parkway onto Mount Seymour Road, behind the Parkgate Shopping Centre - There was majority support at the AGM and in the recent member survey for a large, annual exhibition and sale. Based on the experience of other artists' groups and communities, plans have begun in earnest and lots of help is required to ensure the success of this show and sale. A core team from the executive has been organized with a Project Leader, Project Manager and several Team Captains. We invite you to get on board and participate in what we envision will be the first of many annual large shows. The various committees require assistants. Please sign up for one or more tasks where you feel you can and would like to help. Because we are expecting to exhibit as many as 700 paintings, we will have pre-registration and members will be asked to deliver their paintings to a holding room in the Parkgate Community Centre the evening prior to the show. During the weekend of the show we will be needing help from all participating artists and invite help from other members as well. Paintings will need to be checked in the night before the show. On the morning of the show we will set up easels and panels in the gym and many volunteers will be needed to hang the paintings. We will also require greeters, raffle tickets sales people, cashiers and volunteers to guide buyers through the buying process. We want to make sure we have enough volunteers to be able to cover each other on refreshment breaks. As this will be an extremely
