Pu6rwity qorion Davis 604-926-5619 bandgdavis@shaw.ca The combining of art and music was a delightful success at the recent Laudate Singers Concert We had twenty members of our Guild participate and from all accounts everyone enjoyed the concert, especially the engaging personality of the guest conductor, Kari Turenen, from Finland. Lars Kaario, the founder and music director of Laudate Singers was thrilled with the art show and concert and has invited us to come back next year for their season finale "Canadian Landscape". Gordon Davis won the draw and received tickets for next season's concerts. A comment from Jim Elton to the effect that it is important to support one another in the arts community, I think, summed up the feeling of the participants. It looks like we may have started a new tradition.
