(Past (Presit-fent Lorne `Topfiam 604-922-7255 lzvtoplrnin@sliaw.ca I attended the Seat to Sky Cultural Alliance Forum on Saturday, November 18th, 2006 at the Squarnish Sea to Sky Convention Centre. The program started at 8:30 am. and continued all day with about 140 attendees from all Arts & Heritage groups along this corridor from Deep Cove to Pemberton including Bowen Island arid the Sunshine Coast. The purpose was to develop a strategy as to how best serve the artistic and business communities to promote the Arts, Heritage and Tourism in a unified and purposeful way so that it would gain recognition as a destination in itself. The Okanagan Cultural Corridor was described as an example where communities from Osoyoos to Summerland have formed a partnership with the wine growers, First Nations, business, tourism and the arts. They produce a 30 page brochure supported by advertising listing all the benefits of the corridor. The Forum was co-chaired by our Mayor Pamela Goldsmith-Jones and Max Wyman, Mayor of Lions Bay. A Facilitator, Duncan Holmes, divided everyone into tables to work on questions such as how would the Alliance benefit the communities along the corridor and what goals do we want to accomplish in the short term. The input and conclusions will be analyzed, published and be the basis for the next stage of development. 9Winutes of Slslovem6er 2 1t, 2006 5I'teeting Call meeting to order Motion to adopt minutes of last meeting Nell Turner/Jennifer Thomas Announcements a.
