And what a special bonus when he gave each of us at the meeting a copy of an Artist magazine. Thank-you, Mike! I am pleased to announce that Kiff Holland will be joming us at our holiday celebration on December 15 in the St Stephen's Church lounge. Born in South Africa and receiving his formal education at the University of Witwatersrand and the Johannesburg School of Art he is known for his finely drawn and detailed watercolours, oils and acrylics. He is fascinated with light and texture, colour and mass and loves the soft colour and light of our northern environment- so different from the warm earth tones of his native Africa. Kiff has received awards from the Federation of Canadian Artists and the North-West Watercolour Society and has exhibited at the exhibitions of the British Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Society of British Artists. He has conducted workshops in France as well as across Canada and the USA. Kiff has relocated to Gibsons Landing on the Sunshine Coast but still teaches in the Design ifiustration department of Capilano College. His work is recognised world-wide and we are fortunate that he is excited about joining us for our holiday festivities!
