It was a great tool without it those sales would not have occurred. · Daphne McLean and Edith Warner (and perhaps others) were contacted by people as a result of seeing their paintings at the Harmony Arts Festival. The people first checked out their websites before they made direct contact. A former Vancouver resident. Now living in Calgary, asked a Vancouver based art gallery to find him some BC landscapes (he must have missed BC!!). A gallery owner contacted Larry Achtemichuk to have him bring one of his paintings in for consideration by the buyer. She found his site by searching a number of websites looking for the desired subject matter. · One of the lessons from these stories is that websites can be very useful, but also they should be combined with other communications and activity shows, mailings, club activities and so forth. -- WI1SC £i6rary The WVSC library is being brought into the computer age!
