Jurying instructions and forms are attached to this newsletter. The jury instructions and guidelines have also been posted on the Club website so you can reference them there if you have a login ID and password. For new members, be reminded that you are required to attend three meetings in the past year before you are eligible to participate in a jurying session. This session will select paintings for the Harmony Arts Festival in early August if we are successful in our application there, the fall Park Royal and Capilano Mall Shows and, if we decide to continue with this new venue, other shows at Brewster's Coffee in Dundarave during the summer. Just a reminder that we will not be able to accept price changes for your works between the time of the jurying and the shows. This just creates too much work and confusion for our volunteers during very busy times. Make your pricing decisions early and stick to them, please. !Education gloria @higherbliss.com gthria 0 `SAIei( 604-922-3420 At our April meeting, our Past-President Edith Warner will be demonstrating the use of the computer and Photoshop as a compositional tool for artists. She will show us how to edit a favorite photograph to make the best composition of it, adjusting background, tonality, colour and other elements. She will also demonstrate using these tools to `experiment with a partially finished or troublesome painting Edith spent 10 years in the computer business and is very adept at utilizing the technology as an adjunct to her art. She will be discussing the possibility of a workshop to teach these concepts. She will also bring finished works to show how she has integrated the two worlds of art and computers in her paintings.
