The balance of our account stood at $4865.87. We have recently received a number of new and late membership fees and we continue to use the interest from our investment certificates to reduce the costs of our workshops to our members. `Vice4?resufent £arty Acfitemicfiu 604-926-9640 lachtem@shcrw.ca We are in the process of scheduling the next series of two workshops designed to prepare members for their own artist website. We have a good number of people indicate interest in these at the September meeting and they all have been asked to specify the mornings or afternoons over the next 6 weeks that they are NOT available so I can schedule a session to match your calendars. If you were not at the last meeting and are interested, send me a note with this information. We still have room for members at the second workshop (Web site Loading) at 9AM on October 13. The pre-requisite for this workshop is the first Image Editing Workshop or a familiarity with file handling and the use of image editing software like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Call me to enroll if you are ready and interested. Also, if you would like a website, but would like someone to do it for you initially, allowing you to learn how to update it yourself in parallel, we can do this for you for $30. At the September meeting the membership approved the purchase of a micro-camera and an LCD projector to project the work of our guest demonstrators on a large screen, which will allow the larger audiences of the last few months to better view the demos. We did a live trial in September and have a few tuning and focusing improvements to make for next time. cPast4?resiient No report this month. cEiitIi Warner 604-980-5358 warnere@ca.in ter. net Worsfiops cFriedaj4sfiwortfi 604-985-8498 fashzvorth@shaw.ca The September workshop with Tony O'Regan was highly successful. As many of you know he is a superb drawing instructor and he did not disappoint us. A big thank you to Tony and all those who participated for making the weekend successful. The next workshop is on October 23/24 given by one of our former presidents, Nancy O'Toole (Acrylics)
