Thanks also to the volunteers that helped to publicize the Park Royal Show by putting up posters and "talking up" the show and sale to their friends, family and previous clients. On a sad note, I regret that a long time member, Janet Smeal, has passed away. She will be missed. r17 !Exfii6itions Jennjfer `Tunner 604-921-1610 studio@stargate.ca The Fall Park Royal Exhibition was set up on Sunday 26th September to open at 10.00 am on Monday 27th. Of the eighty-two paintings originally assigned to the Park Royal Show at the time of jurying, fiftynine were signed in, fifteen were no longer available and eight were no shows. As always the Exhibition looks superb. Sincere thanks for the outstanding work done by the teams who set up the show, and the attention to detail which contributed to the smooth (relatively speaking) operation. Reminder: Pick up your paintings at the end of the show between 5.30 pm. and 6.00 pm. on Sunday, October 3rd Juiying Lynn We6ster 604-925-4214 klwongordon@pacificcoast.net For the information of new members, note that we have two jurying sessions each year, one in November and one in May. To be eligible for the jurying a member must have attended three meetings in the past year. It is therefore important to sign in when you attend each monthly meeting. The jurying for our next three shows at Park Royal, Capilano Mall and the WV Library will be held on Friday, November 12th and Saturday, November 13th, 2004 at St Catherine's Anglican Church at 1058 Ridgewood Dr. in North Vancouver. Up to four paintings will be accepted. The jurors will be well known artists Nancy 0' Toole and Robert Genn. Details will be published in the next Newsletter so get out your easels and start painting!
