He paints the Pacific Northwest in acrylics. His art is influenced by several trips he has taken to France with its rolling hills, vineyards, quaint villages, and red-tiled roofs. Brian works from his studio in Sechelt, and as often as possible, en plein air. Brian has shown his work at several galleries around Vancouver and West Vancouver. Brian sold all 25 of his paintings on opening night at "Artists Across the Inlet" exhibition at the Zhee Clay Gallery in Vancouver. Calona Vineyards selected one of Brian's paintings from several hundred submissions from across Canada for the label of their Artist Series Reserve 2001 Riesling; and have recently selected another of his works for the 2003 Pinot Gris. Brian is currently represented by the Ellliot Louis Gallery near Granville Island and the Gift of the Eagle Gallery on the Sunshine Coast. `Vice-cPresident £ar,y AcIitemicfiu 604-926-9640 lachtem@shaw.ca The next Workshops to prepare members for their own websites will be held in November.
