The paintings for these shows were juried in November. Juiying - Our next jurying will be held on April 30 May 1 to select paintings for a Ferry Building Show on June 25 July 7 and for our first involvement in the Harmony Arts Festival, as well as for the fall Park Royal Show. Nancy emphasized pattern and brushstrokes. The "OIL PAINTING WET INTO WET" workshop with Josanne Van Hees AFCA will be held at Klee Wyck February 28 and 29, 2004 from 9:30am to 3:30pm. We have a few spots open for this workshop and you can sign up at the February 17 WVSC general meeting. Supply lists will be available then for all participants at the sign up table. See the description of Josanne's biography and artist's statement in the Education section of this newsletter, as she will also be our demonstration artist in our next meeting. The next workshop on April 3 and 4, 2004 will be "PEN AND INK WITH WATERCOLOUR" with Suzanne Northcott. This is a great approach for traveling light and doing pen and ink drawings and embellish them with watercolour.
