Thanks to Helen Ott who has agreed to chair our Christmas Party this year. Her report below provides more details and we hope to see many of you there. It is always an enjoyable evening and gives us a chance to socialize and get to know each other a bit more. Tickets wifi be on sale at the next meeting and through Helen. Our upcoming jurying will be for our next two exhibitions as per Al's report. We're looking forward to seeing lots of your new work and hope as many of you as possible will participate. Many thanks to Barrie Chadwick for filling in at the last minute as a demonstrator for our October meeting. He gave us a very interesting demo working on a painting from a sketch of his recent trip to Australia. As a result of the late cancellation we had, two other members indicated they would be available for demonstrations in the future should we need the assistance. Finally, don't forget the Logo Contest. We need a new, up..to-date look for our logo and we want your creativity! The contest will be run similar to the Roster cover contest. Entries are to be submitted no larger than 8 x 10" in colour or black and white and we wifi post them at a future meeting and vote on our favorite. Computer generated logos are acceptable and there will be a prize for the winner. Happy painting! Ilice4?resiifent No report this month. J4(Spence 604-988-2737 As there are many new members in the Club, it may be of value to outline the overall schedules and plans for our public shows for the next year, and how this relates to the jurying schedules as well. On November 14th and 15th we will be jurying paintings for a show at Park Royal in about March, 2004 and for a show at the Capilano Mall in about May 2004. Paintings selected at this jurying will be stamped to show that a painting has been selected and to indicate to which show it has been assigned. Our next jurying will take place on April 30-May 1, 2004. This will select and assign paintings for a show at the Ferry Building to be held from June 25th to July 7th, 2004, and for a fall show at Park Royal planned for October 2004. One new development for this year is that the Club, for the first time, wifi have a show at the Harmony Arts Festival in August, 2004. We expect to have an additional juror from the Festival
