Many thanks to Larry Achtemichuk, who has been our capable editor. Larry not only improved our existing newsletter but has developed our electronic version, providing an exciting colour edition and saving us effort and cost in the process. It's been a busy year for the club with many changes. I hope you have found them to be of benefit to the club and our members. I very much appreciate the support of an excellent Board of Directors and Committee Chairpersons. They have all been a terrific group to work with, showing much energy and enthusiasm for the tasks we undertook. Also, many thanks to all our great volunteers who gave of their time and energy to run our events so smoothly. Our next meeting on June 17th wifi be our Annual General Meeting and this wifi serve as notice of that meeting. At that meeting we will see the election of new officers and directors to replace those whose terms have come to an end. The nominating committee wifi present a slate of nominees for these positions. However, nominations can also be made in writing, no later than two weeks prior to the AGM (Standing Rules), or from the floor at this meeting. hi both cases the nominator must be a regular voting member and must have ascertained in advance that the nominee wifi accept office if voted in. Also at this meeting we will again have a Critique Night. This seemed quite successful when we ran it earlier this year and we hope you wifi enjoy it again. The more members who bring in a painting, the more interesting it wifi be. Bring your paintings to the Grand Court (see map) between 8:00-8:3OAM on Sunday, June 8. The pick up time is from 5:005:30PM on Sunday. Attached to this newsletter is a list of the juried pamtings that are to be at this show, just as a reminder. tItft It is very important to have tethers on your paintings to improve their security, as the mall is open at 7:00AM every morning, before the shops are open and before our volunteers are on duty.
