I hope to see many of you on December 10th at our Christmas Party it wifi be lots of fun and a good chance to have a more social time with each other than is usually possible at our meetings. Do come. - The results of the survey, I think, were most interesting. We've included a summary page with this newsletter and hope you wifi find it interesting. We have set aside some time at the January meeting for further discussion of these results and the directions they may take us. I look forward to your comments then, or at any time. We still need to get our Welcoming Committee formed. Please consider volunteering for this small but pleasant task of meeting with a new member and introducing them to the club and other members at their first meeting. Contact myself or Deb Taylor. Our recent jurying was quite successful; we had 213 paintings submitted by 69 artists. The West Vancouver Library Show in February had 36 paintings chosen with another 91 being selected for our next Park Royal Show in the spring. Suzanne Northcott and Bob Rennie provided us with some good feedback which appears later in the newsletter. - 4e 604-922-7225 wtopham@shaw.ca There is a call for submissions by the Iranian Canadian Cultural Association for entries to a show entitled "Woman: from an Artist's Point of View" to commemorate International Woman's Day on March 8, 2003. Subjects of the artworks will be women emotions, lifestyles and thoughts from all walks of life, cultures and professions. The artwork is to be riot smaller than one square meter, for security reasons. For more information call Mrs. S. Nouri at 604-222-2142 between 8-10:00 AM on Tuesdays or Wednesdays before December 6. - At Sfteve 604- 9ff- 2737 The Library Show will be held from February 1 o 28 at the West Vancouver Library. The list of paintings selected by jury for this show is attached to this newsletter. The delivery time for your paintings is on Saturday, February 1 from 8:30 to 9:00 AM. Take down and pickup of the paintings is from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 1. There will be an Artists Reception from 6:00-7:30 PM on February 7. All artists are asked to attend if possible. The Library will provide tea, coffee and juice, and all artists are asked to bring a few `goodies' to the reception. The Club Bio Book will be on display at the reception, so this may serve as a bit of a deadline to get your biography into the Book for the first time or to check that the existing one is current.
