The North Mall will be under construction until next spring, hence the South Mall location. There will be five display panels each on the east and west sides of the escalator, and five more in the Upper Mall. This will require three people on show duty for each shift. Since the show will be split across 2 different floors at Park Royal, security will be very important. Please be sure to bring your tethers with your paintings. It is highly recommended that ALL paintings be properly tethered. Remember to attach tethers to your paintings with a bit of tape so they do not fall off. If you need more information please contact myself or Barrie Chadwick Please note that each member of the Sketch Club with a painting in the Show is required to volunteer at least 2 hours for show duty. Please call Lynn Webster at 604-9254214 to book your duty times, or see her at the next monthly meeting. PICK-UP TIME for the paintings will be 5:30 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 27. Details will be in the November Newsletter. ad atkm4 604-929-469! Our last workshop before Christmas is going to be very exciting! It will take place at Klee Wyck on November 23 and 24, 9:30 to 3:30 both days. The instructor for this weekend will be talented Federation artist and instructor Janice Robertson. Janice is very excited about the new techniques she will be teaching watercolour on illustration board. Janice has said that she feels that this technique has helped to loosen up her painting and that it is wonderful for doing textures and lifting the paint to regain your lights. She would like feedback from people signing up for the workshop on what subject matter they would like to cover; still life, landscapes, people, birds or animals etc.. People can give me their preferences when they sign up at the next meeting. -
