A huge vote of thanks goes to Edith Warner for creating the computer program that made the whole process so much easier and quicker. Where has the year gone? Our Annual General Meeting is June 18 and we plan to have some social time together for a Swap and Sale of art supplies, canvasses, frames, mattes or other items. If you have art supplies/materials you are no longer using bring them to the meeting and either sell them or make a trade with someone else! It should be fun and a little bit different. It is important to attend this meeting as we will be electing the new executive for 2002-2003 and also choosing the artwork for the 2002-2003 Roster cover. I am going to take this opportunity, before the elections to thank this year's executive who have been a wonderful group of people to work with. It has been an enjoyable year. R&ath !?ith tOa,n&, 604-980-5358 warnere@istar.ca Thanks to all for the great support on the computerization of our jury process. I hope everyone saw the benefits last month and we look forward to even more efficiencies in the future. $unn$&inq!' 604-988-4665 No report. ar6ay'a, 3 2 liauhew.c 604-929-4691 4 And now for something completely different!! For our final meeting before the summer break we are not having a demonstration but instead are going to host an art garage sale! Members can bring any art supplies that they have decided that they no longer need or want and sell or swap with other members. This could include paper, paints, frames, matts, easels etc., anything art related that you are ready to part with. We will have tables set up after the business meeting where these things can be displayed. Everyone is responsible for their own items and sales. I STRONGLY suggest that you label all items with a price or value and your name, this will make it easy for interested parties to know who to approach for a sale and will allow the sellers to leave their area to look at other items for sale by other members. It may also be a good idea to come with some small bills and coins to enable sellers to make change when needed. This can be a fun time, visiting and shopping for bargains! If this proves to be a successful and enjoyable venture it could become an annual or bi-annual event. Start looking through those cupboards and drawers! Iii (,ui/1's!
