The Park Royal Show is in April, there is a May jurying and a show in June at Capilano Mall. This brings me to mention the issue of ongoing shows. At our General Meeting there was discussion on how to manage some of our exhibition opportunities. We currently have paintings ongoing at the Bank of Montreal on Marine Drive, St. Stephen's Anglican Church, and in the offices of a dentist and physiotherapy clinic in the Medical Dental Building at 17th & Marine Drive. Recently we have also had the opportunity to have our paintings on display at the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. We wifi continue to discuss how best to take advantage of all these opportunities in the most appropriate way. - Sometimes I feel that as we get caught up in the business of exhibition opportunities both as a Club and as private members, we start to overlook the goals and objectives of the Society. Perhaps it is an appropriate time to revisit them. The founders of the West Vancouver Sketch Club called it the Paintingfor Fun Club. It's objectives were, and still are, to "promote greater interest in, and appreciation of, fine art, and to encourage local talent". So let us continue in fun and fellowship, as a vibrant and talented group, committed to these ideals. ?zi4 No report. 604-980-5358 warnere@istar.ca anni1qei' 604-988-4665 No report. a6aP.aAaUha!ju3 604-929-4691 Zshu Zshu Mark will be the visiting artist at our March 19th meeting.
