:.. Y';. ./ NO_Oi.aé 2, Chawick 604-926-1597 The show at Park Royal, October 13th to 20th was quite a success. There were lots of comments and a number of enquiries about joining the Club. Seven paintings were sold and a further two were in the `negotiation' stages at the end of Saturday afternoon. Thank you to all who helped in any way. Demonstrating how to establish the overall shape or "arabesque" and proceeding with blocking in major light and dark patterns and then placement and sizing of features and their respective anatomy. Don't miss it! /Voi'sia 1ann 604-925-2455 nblann@telus.net Although only ten members attended the Charles Reid Video Workshop on Oct. 20 & 21, it proved to be a very well received and rewarding trial on Marguerite Mahy's and my behalf. You know it is a success when everyone asks "When can we have another video workshop -- this was so much fun?" Added to that, almost everyone had their own table, there was lots of room to move around and the paintings turned out great! Our friendly critique at the end was helpful, appreciated and added another dimension to our weekend experience. I hope to see some Charles Reid type paintings at our next jurying. The January 2002 workshop has not yet been fmalized but I hope to make a verbal announcement at the November meeting. Stay Tuned!!!
