NJO'fEF\J1BEF LI VV By now the word is out that the Memorial Library Foundation of West Vancouver and the Library Board are sponsoring an extensive fund--raising program in support of library expansion. Continuing a tradition that goes back to the establishment of the Library as a war memorial in 1950, the residents of West Vancouver are pitching in to ensure that the community's library maintains its pre--eminent position in Canada. Leadership is a critical component of any fund--raising endeavour and the Library is fortunate to have attracted an exceptional team headed by Mr. John Humphries, Chairman of the SPECIAL EDITION Capital Campaign. With the assistance of some 200 active volunteers, the campaign leadership is confident of achieving the objective of $4.75 million within a relatively short time. Including the amount pledged by Municipal Council, we're already more than half way there. "It happens very well that Christmas should fall out in the middle of Winter."
