The V a r l e y Commemoration Committee has researched four p r o p o s a l s w h i c h w i l l be presented t o the North 6 Vancouver D i s t r i c t Counc i l and the Centennial Committee. The p r o p o s a l s include: reconstructing the abandoned f i r e rangers cabin Varley painted i n and s t a f f i n g i t with a resident artist, blazing a trail to the p l a c e s where he painted and e r e c t i n g e x planatory plaques there, h o l d i n g an e x h i b i t i o n o f the Lynn p i c t u r e s and r e naming Lynn peak, w h i c h o c c u r s i n s o many o f h i s w o r k s , a f t e r him. The p r o p o s a l s h a v e a t t r a c t e d the support o f a wide v a r i e t y o f i n d i v i d u als and i n s t i t u t i o n s .
