Festival of the Arts. NORTH SHORE ARTS COMMISSION On Friday, April 21, the Culmral Policy Committee celebrated "Opening Night" a showcase of North Shore artists and a welcome to the new North Shore Arts Commission members, (ed. note The list of Commission members appeared in a report about the Commission by Judy Dennis in the Feb./March issue). A large THANK Y O U is due Oksana Dexter of Centennial Theatre and all others who helped make "Opening Night" such a memorable event. We were proud of the evening and the professionalism of everyone involved, from theatre staff to the artists themselves. Commission Update: The position of Cultural Co-ordinator for the Commission has been advertised. A pilot "Grants" project with the District of North Vancouver has been completed. This will enable the Commission to develop a new North Shore granting procedure fo 1990.
