N. V. Arts Council Programs Rental of original paintings by local artists has become a popular monthly event for many North Shore residents. Coverage by the media has helped to rekindle interest in this great way to decorate your walls with art at an affordable price. PICTURE LOAN is held on the second Thursday of each month between 6 and 8 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Gallery of Presentation House. The next dates are April 13 and May 11. The average rent is about $5 and there are some real beauties available. You can try something out and put the rent towards purchase if you find you just can't part with it after it has been on your wall for a while. Even if you are not in the market to rent or buy, just come and browse. We really could use extra volunteer help at Picttire Loan once a month. This involves about one hour to set up at 4 p.m. and/or one hour to take down the show at 8 p.m. Some physical effort is needed in this team effort.
