Ann and her husband have moved to Bowen Island making it very difficult for her to attend meetings. Ann was very active as a Board member and especially as president during West Van's centennial in 2012. She represented the Society at community events such as Pumpkin Fast and Community Day. Ann will be dearly missed. She does say however, that she will work on this summer's Barbecue committee. A New Volunteer - Lynda Roberts You don't have to be a member of the Board to work on behalf of the Society. Susan Dirassar ran the Society's office for years without joining the Board. Joan Cox continued helping with the books long after she resigned from office. Peter Cherry and Peter Strelaeff manned the refreshment tent at every BBQ. Others help at the General Meetings, BBQ set up and other events. All you have to do is communicate an interest and you will be most welcome. One such person is Lynda Roberts who expressed an interest in Tom Warden helping out but does not have time to dedicate to the Board. She is interested in research and is now our North Shore News Time Traveler volunteer Lynda researches the Archives for a timely photo, researches it and places it in the North Shore News.
