Archives Acquires Local Artist Dorothy Pollitt's Watercolours Dorothy Pollitt did not do things by halves. Whether it was racing her canoe down the Fraser River, hiking in the North Shore Mountains, or creating works of art, Dorothy was a real powerhouse. When she volunteered to paint the plants, flowers and trees found at Lighthouse Park she brought the same energy to bear: spending countless hours collecting samples and roping in her daughter Susan to help. The results, a series of striking watercolours, were recently donated by her son, John Pollitt, to the West Vancouver Archives. photography.
