President's R e p o r t by Rod Day The Historical Society continues to be active in the community, despite the fact that we are still looking for a president. Presently we are rotating the post of "convener", who presides over meetings and the society's affairs for a limited term of two or three months. Members of the Board have volunteered to specialize in the various activities that keep the society going, and we are doing well, though we continue to search for a president. board continues to plan for all eventualities. Our Barbecue August 24th was a great success. We celebrated the Minions family. Mack died this year- at 88. His brother Ross is 94 and Uves in North Vancouver Ross' sister.
