H e used these tools to h e l p construct the first ferry w h a r f at D u n d a r a v e a n d later the s e c o n d one at A m b l e s i d e . H e also used these tools to help construct the West V a n F e r r y B u i l d i n g a n d the c o m m e m o r a t i v e a r c h at M a r i n e D r i \ e e n t r a n c e to West \ ' a n at the Capilano Riven H e a n d his wife J a n e t h a d 6 daughters a n d 2 sons. H e w o r k e d for the M u n i c i p a l i t y a n d the S c h o o l B o a r d . H e retired f r o m the s c h o o l b o a r d post i n 1954 but w o r k e d for it p a r t time u n t i l 1955.
