Lighthouse Park Interpretive Signs West Vancouver Parks Department and Ports Canada funded the creation of three interpretive signs which were installed in Lighthouse Park in the Fall of 2010. Visitors venturing to the main lighthouse viewpoint, can now learn about the history of the light tower. The presence of the Armed Forces in Lighthouse Park during World War II is explained on the sign beside the Phy Mundy Hut, formerly known as the Dining Hall to the troops. The third sign highlights the dudes of the light keepers, and is situated on the upper grounds of the light station, by the plaque reminding us that Point Atkinson is a National Historic Site.
