the Bridge what is its future? What does the future hold for the old Capilano River Bridge? Should it be saved? If so, why? Should it be made into scrap? The West Vancouver Historical Society's General Meeting on March i6th will look at these questions and some possible answers. The guest speaker is Michael Roberts, a professional engineer. His lo years technical and practical experience includes a wide range of projects including the Vancouver Convention Centre and the new self anchored San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge. He is passionate for bridges, the application of emerging technology and innovations, and is a growing advocate for the education and public awareness of EC's unique existing bridges and their associated heritage and significance that is often overlooked by both the public and the profession.
