Covering more than the present reference handbooks on Islam, the editorial board of this title includes many scholars from Islamic countries and a list of contributors with their credentials in the last volume. Each entry concludes with an independent bibliography and notes the author. The time rolls around once again... Christmas is approaching. ADULT SERVICES IN THE GALLERY ... Still life and landscapes combine to form the theme of this month’s two-artist show. “Flowers & Faces” by Alma MacPhail. Alma began painting 10 years ago and continues to be inspired by gardening and her love of flowers. She uses a variety of mediums in her paintings including oil on canvas, and pastel and acrylic on paper. “Inside & Out” by Pamela Scott. Pamela Scott is a well- known West Vancouver painter and teacher whose medium of choice is gouache paint. Many of her paintings were inspired by her travels to Europe. Pamela has worked as an illustrator of books and periodicals and her paintings have been displayed in solo exhibits across the Lower Mainland. Opening reception hosted by the Gallery and the exhibiting artists is on Friday, December 6, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
