REFERENCE DEPARTMEMT North Americans have only in recent years shown an interest in the sport of soccer, more commonly called football worldwide â€" not to be confused with the Canadian/ American game. The World Cup: A Coaplete Record, 1930-1990, an impressive 464-page soccer reference, is a sure place to start for historical and statistical information. The author, Ian Morrison, has produced an accurate and comprehensive record of the game, eliminating many of the oft-repeated errors of other commentators. This book, published in Great Britain, is now available for use in the Reference department. The various studies of the Royal Conmission on Aboriginal Peoples, chaired by Georges Erasmus and Rene Dussault, are now trickling out from the government printers. Some have reached our reference shelves. The research arising from this Commission will without a doubt be invaluable to students, scholars and citizenry alike.
