It will be a gradual process as work continues on areas of the old building and we all adjust to the expanded premises. An official opening ceremony is planned for September. Although the new area of the building is air-conditioned, some patrons will probably continue to find the bench in the west wing's inner courtyard one of the most pleasant places to spend time with a good book on hot days. Don't forget about the special vacation loan period that we offer on a once-a-year basis. This will allow you an extra two weeks on your 28-day loans, so you can take a good selection of reading with you when you head out on vacation travels. We've recently received lots of new paperbacks, finding that these are particularly in demand at this time of year. A reminder; Sunday opening has now ended for the summer and will resume on October 3. Please note the Summer Reading Club activities for West Van youngsters described elsewhere in this newsletter.
