LIBRARY HOURS Monday to Friday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday (Oct.-June) 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. %em 199b THIS MONTH'S EVENTS For the Memorial Library the month of June means Community Day - showing off the new bookmobile in the parade and conducting children's puppet shows at the Recreation Centre afterwards - as well as the last month of Sunday afternoon operation until next October. This year it will also witness the gradual transfer of library services into the newly-constructed part of the building. Although completion of the expansion project is still weeks away, the shift of collections and services is expected to begin around June 21 with the transfer of the Youth Services collections to the top floor of the new space. The Reference and Adult Fiction collections will follow soon afterwards. As areas in the old building are emptied, they will be occupied by the construction company, which has a number of minor renovations to carry out. Although at this point our hope is to carry out the move without closing the Library to the public, it will be necessary to restrict access to certain areas on a temporary basis. We will provide as much advance warning as we can when this occurs. Access to areas of the new building will also be provided on a piecemeal basis. Your co-operation and patience continues to be greatly appreciated as we enter the final phase of our construction project. WEST VANCOOVER MEMORIAL LIBRARY 1950 Marine Drive West Vancouver B.C.
