She found that interviews with people involved in the topic of her book often led to excellent pictures. She also warned against accepting statements in an interview as fact. We have also been supported by Shaunna Moore, the West Vancouver Archivist, in our efforts. She is sitting on our committee and has indicated a willingness to help us with establishing the copyright issues surrounding the use of pictures. Carol Howie, a member of our Board and a part time archivist, is very familiar with the West Vancouver collection. Deb Hutchison, the West Vancouver Reference Librarian, has also indicated a willingness to participate with us in the preparation of the material. A good deal of preliminary work is needed before we can successfully prepare the 'draft' chapter for publication. We must set up our computer, train a number of people on the 'protocols' of digital picture scanning, gather many new pictures from the community and make a number of preliminary decisions regarding the focus and structure of the book. Much hard work lies ahead.
